You can see that Sync 2 automatically handles wallet creation. In addition, in a live dApp, the user would not have to acknowledge transaction costs at all, instead having them paid on their behalf by the dApp owner.
Use case 1: Gaming/NFT Environment
In use case 1, we can envisage application of Sync 2 within VIMworld, a CREAM-owned collectible & gaming platform. This and other types of NFT platform provide solid examples of applications that can significantly benefit from the implementation of this technology.
A user wishes to buy a VIM and visits the VIMworld website to do so. Sync 2 can create a wallet on behalf of the user. Using VeChain’s unique ‘Fee Delegation as a Service’ (DaaS) protocol, this individual can pay in fiat to purchase EHrT which, to a layman, appears to function like any of the many in-game currencies that exist in the traditional gaming world.
The user can now purchase a VIM of their choice, with the transaction fees silently handled in the background.
This user can freely and easily partake in VIMworld’s or any other NFT marketplace, buying or purchasing assets/power ups/cosmetics for their VIM/NFT. New community members will be able to enjoy games and interact with the platform without having any prior experience whatsoever, as any blockchain actions can now be handled seamlessly on the back-end.
With Sync 2, online blockchain-based gaming becomes as intuitive and as simple as using any traditional PC game with an in-game market, tokens or other features that tens of millions of gamers are perfectly familiar with today.
Use case 2: Sustainability Application
In use case 2, we can envisage an application surrounding sustainability/incentivised green behavior as with VeChain’s Low Carbon Ecosystem project. In this application, users are awarded for their green behavior, creating a monetary incentive to act in a manner that benefits the environment and reduces carbon emissions.
An example currently in development by DNV GL is an application to use a bicycle to ride to work, thus reducing carbon emissions. Users can record and upload their data from their journey to a smart contract that can calculate the users carbon offset, awarding them with Carbon Credits that can be redeemed for incentives/products or services. These actions, despite being on blockchain, can be carried out without a user having to navigate the many pitfalls of current dApp technology. A dApp becomes as familiar as any traditional application.
With Sync 2, the transformative power of blockchain technology becomes readily available for everyday use regardless of an individual’s technical knowledge.
